About Us

Norma Montalvo

I have been working with children for over 30 years. I began my career at Patterson House of Children, a private preschool/daycare home turned center back in 1987.

In the year 2000 I started working as a Teacher's Aide at the Montessori School of Tracy & soon became a Certified Montessori Instructor myself.

I currently volunteer my time as a Head Teacher at Kids On A Mission and have been doing so for the passed almost 10 years now. Working with children has always been and will always be a passion of mine.

Emma Montalvo-Harding

I am Norma's daughter and the owner of Kids On A Mission. I attended Patterson House of Children in my preschool days and Norma was my teacher. I have been around a preschool/daycare setting and children for most of my life. I have been working directly with children since September of 2005.

My role here at Kids On A Mission is to assist Norma with the children's care and academics. I am also in charge of all advertising, networking, parent communication and the business aspects of the daycare.

I enjoy working with my mother and we take pride in our familial setting & environment.

Other Staff:

Kids On A Mission is a small family daycare home so we are only licensed for 8 children. This means we are only required to have 1 (one) certified caregiver per 8 (eight) children in attendance. Here at Kids On A Mission we have 2 (two) certified caregivers (Emma & Norma) available at least 95% of the time. There are times that one of us might have appointments or other events we might have to attend so we do have on call volunteers to come in to replace us.

** There will never be a time when both of us are gone at the same time.**

Greg Harding

Greg is Emma's husband and a resident in the home. He is currently lending his helping hands full time at KOAM and has been a big part of our program since his move here from Athens, GA in 2014.
